- Spinach-1 full bunch
- Brinjal chopped1/2 cup
- Chanadal -5 table spoons
- Tamarind paste-2 to 3 teaspoons
- Green chili paste-1 to 2 teaspoons
- Turmeric
- Oil-1 table spoon
- Cumin and mustard-1 teaspoon
- Fenugreek/methi seeds-1/8Th teaspoon
- Hing-2 pinches
- Dry chilis-2 to 3
METHOD:

- Pressure cook chanadal for 4 to 5 whistles or until done
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin,mustard,methi seeds,dry chili's and hing
- Add brinjal pieces and saute for 5 minutes and add spinach leaves and cook until done
4. Now add the green chili paste,turmeric,salt and tamarind paste
5. Once it gets nicely cooked add boiled chanadal and some water.Cook until done
6. Enjoy with rice
