ONION LEMON RICE

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Basmathirice-2 cups
  2. Onion chopped-3 tablespoons
  3. Cilantro-2 teaspoons
  4. Chopped green chis-1 tablespoon
  5. Lemon juice-2 tablespoons
  6. Salt-to taste
  7. Turmeric-1/2 teaspoon
  8. Oil -for seasoning

SEASONING:

  1. Mustard seeds-1/4 Th teaspoon
  2. cumin seeds-1/2 teaspoon
  3. Sesame seeds-2 teaspoons
  4. Peanuts-2 tablespoons
  5. Curry leaves-8

METHOD:

  • Boil 2 cups of basmathi rice with3 cups of water,and add 5 to6 drops of oil,when done cool it,and keep it a side.
  • Now take a pan add oil,and do seasoning,add green chili's,fry well and add onion,saute till onion turns to brownish colour,now add salt and turmeric and cilantro,mix well.
  • Now transfer this to cooled rice ,add lemon juice mix well and serve.
