- Shredded cabbage-2 cups
- Tur dal-1 cup
- Turmeric-1/2 teaspoon
- Salt -to taste
- Tamarind-2 teaspoons
- Oil-3 teaspoons
- Curry leaves-10
- Coriander leaves-3 table spoons

- Chenadal-1 ts
- Split urad dal-1 ts
- Whole dhaniya-2 ts
- Pepper-1/2 ts
- Cumin-1/2 ts
- Methi seeds/fenugreek seeds-10
- Dry red chilis-6 to 8
Dry roast and make fine powder
METHOD:

- Pressure cook cabbage,tamarind paste,turmeric,salt ,cook until done
- Cook tur dal separately
- Now combine cabbage and dal mixture ,add 1/2 teaspoon of grounded masala,and 1/2 teaspoon of sambar powder,turmeric and salt
- Cook for 10 minutes
- Heat oil in a pan and make seasoning,add curry leaves and cilantro
- Then add to the dal.Enjoy with rice
