- Big roma tomatoes:3
- Thick tamarind paste-1 teaspoon
- Turmeric-1/8Th teaspoon
- Ginger garlic paste-1 teaspoon
- Masala powder-1 teaspoon
- Dhaniya powder-1/2 teaspoon
- Salt-to taste
- Oil-1 teaspoon
- Hing-pinch
- Oil-2 teaspoons
- Cumin and mustatd-1 teaspoon

- Boil tomatoes in water and grind to a fine paste,use stalk water to dilute tomato paste and mix the liquid well
- Heat oil in a pan and make seasoning,add hing and curry leaves,now add ginger garlic paste
- N ow add tomato liquid ,tamarind ,salt and masala powders along with turmeric
- Once it comes to boiling point add cilantro and turn off the flame
- Add little chili powder to get good colour
- Delicious rasam is ready to serve with rice
