TAMATAR KI SHORBA

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Cherry tomatoes-1 cup
  2. chopped onion-3 table spoons
  3. ginger garlic paste-1 teaspoon
  4. redchili powder-1/2 teaspoon
  5. salt-to taste
  6. cilantro -1 table spoon
  7. Sugar-1/8 th teaspoon
  8. Tamarind paste-1 to 2 teaspoons
  9. oil-2 table spoons
  10. Butter-1 table spoon
DRY ROAST THE FOLLOWING INGREDIENTS SEPARATELY

  1. chanadal-1 teaspoon
  2. tur dal-1 teaspoon
  3. urad dal-1 teaspoon
  4. rice grains-1 teaspoon
  5. cloves -2
  6. cinnamon-1 small stick
  7. pepper corns-5
  8. cardamom-2
  9. Dry coconut powder-2 teaspoons
  10. peanuts-2 teaspoons
  11. sesame seeds-2 teaspoons

Dry roast all these and grind to a fine paste




METHOD:

  1. Wash cherry tomatoes,then make plus(+) mark on each tomato.
  2. Fry the tomatoes in oil for few seconds and set a side,don't deep fry because they should not change the shape.
  3. Now heat 2 table spoons of oil in a pan ,add shahi jeera and fry well now add ginger garlic paste,then the onions cook until it gets light brown ,now add the masala paste and some water,cook until oil oozes out,now add red chili powder,sugar,salt,and some tamarind paste,cook until done.
  4. Now add the cherry tomatoes
  5. Garnish with cilantro,enjoy with pulav or fried rice or chapathi
