KAKARKAYA TIPI KURA (BITTEREGUARD SWEETENED CURRY)
INGREDIENTS:
- Karela chopped lenght wise(deseeded/seeds removed)-2 cups
- Jaggery -2 ts
- Red chili powder-1 ts
- Salt-to taste
- Oil-3 tbs
- Cumin ,mustard-1 ts
- Ginger garlic paste-1/2 ts
- Turmeric-1/8th spoon

PREPARATIONS:
- While chopping karela,peel off the skin completely and deseed then chop it helps to prevent the bitter ness to some extent
- in a bowl add karela , water and turmeric, some salt and cook till tender
- Strain water and set a side
METHOD:
- Heat oil in a pan add cumin and mustard
- When they starts spluttering add ginger garlic paste and saute,now simmer the flame add chili powder,turmeric,salt,dhaniya powder and mix well
- Now add the strained karela pieces and cook on medium flame till oil separates
- Enjoy with steamed rice
